Ivy

Greenheart

Very popular and available in many forms like hanging baskets, topiaries, and pots. There are several types of ivy like German, Swedish, and Algerian, but the most common varieties are of the Hedera Helix family in which there are many different shapes and leaf colors to choose from. For care, ivies prefer the temperature to be cool with bright light conditions in winter and avoid direct sunlight in the summer. Keep soil moist in summer by regular watering and water sparingly in the winter, but do not let the compost dry out. Ivies will thrive indoors if you can keep the leaves misted in the summer especially if the room is warm and dry. Continue to do this in winter if the room is heated, expect brown leaf tips if you do not.
